Product Showcase - Transforming to the PRO model

As stated we started with the MasterCase 5 base unit, we'll now transform it into the MasterCase PRO 5 model which comes with a see through side panel, top mounted radiator functionally and a nice top cover as well as an extra HDD bay for three storage units. My advice, just purchase the Pro model immediately. Upgrading from the basic unit probably is rather pricey if you purchase separated parts.

Here's the new side-panel that comes with the Pro version, the side panels can be taken out by removing two thumb screws, and then you pull the panel out. The see through panel have been covered and protected with plastic. The lower part (and the panel is upside down on this photo) has a black strip, that way you cannot see the power supply compartment.

So the basic model has a fan grille and dust cover and two carry handles. We need to remove the lower plastic cover seated over that handle as well as the top mesh / dust filter.

It is quite easy, just put a little pressure on the left side of the handle and pull the right side towards you and it'll come off, the iron base for the handle will remain in place.

Once done you can put in and mount the radiator bracket. To added benefit here is that you can use thick radiators in a top side located mount.

Now you can mount the top cover and boom, your base model has become a pro model. Alternatively you can also mount an extra HDD cage for three more storage units.

The Pro model does look much better IMHO, mainly thanks to that top cover. It is nicely done and looks great on the eyes. The side panel is good looking, but there is a small problem with it which we'll show you later on.
