Cooler Master MasterBox Q500L review - Product Showcase - Packaging

Product Showcase - Packaging

The packaging is quite standard for Cooler Master. It is small and light. The Q500L comes packed between 2 pieces of protective foam, with the case itself wrapped in a plastic bag. The design is plain, with simple black print on a brown background. There is some marketing stuff printed on the back, and the box has two handles to make carrying it easier.

The chassis is protected well, with Styrofoam, and our case has not sustained any damage in transport.
You can take a look at the main features of this case below:

  • Highly Compact Standard ATX
  • Double orientation & A Movable I/O Panel
  • Versatile PSU Bracket
  • Fully Perforated Chassis
  • Magnetic Dust Filters
  • Edge-to-Edge Transparent Side Panel

Space for components:

  • CPU Cooler: 160 mm / 6.29"
  • GPU: 360 mm / 14.17" (270 mm clearance with PSUs longer than 160 mm)
  • PSU: 180 mm / 7.08"
  • Clean Routing Space

The Masterbox Q500L has a rather classic look, and you can see it’s very symmetrical. No RGB LEDs either (except for the power LED on the I/O panel). It’s a small-sized chassis, measuring 381 (L) x 230 (W) x 386 (H) millimeters, with a total capacity of 33.8 l. Do remember to remove the protective film from the acrylic window panel. Cooler Master includes magnetic dust filters for the top and front, and a regular one on the bottom. In the accessory bag (which is hidden inside the chassis), you will find a manual, and also:

  • Cable ties
  • All the screws you may need for your build.

On top of this, we received custom-made Guru3d dust filters. No additional accessories are included, like a logo badge, etc. but that’s not a must-have in this budget. Let’s proceed to the evaluation of the exterior.

Today, we are reviewing two air coolers from Cooler Master: MasterAir MA624 Stealth and MA612 Stealth ARGB. Usually, we had a chance to check the AIO solutions from them, so now it's a good opportunity to study what we can achieve more standardly. This will also be a nice occasion to present two types of cooling architecture, as the MA612 Stealth ARGB is a single-tower, and MA624 Stealth is a dual-tower
