HDD usage through the XDock then. VERY easy, you pull the retention clip towards you and pull it out.
Now if you like to install a HDD then line up the four rubber mounted pins (anti resonating), and slide the unit back in. This is a tool free design.
You can also mount an SSD in there, at the bottom you secure four screws. The four rubber pins (that are still present in this photo) will need to be removed though.
Optical wise you simply remove the filter protected 5.25" covers.
And then slide it in, on the left side you pull the securing mechanism, line up the pins with the holes and boom. Secured.Easy-peasy. In total you can house the following:
