Alright, packaging first, the box could not have been any more boring to look at, but it clearly indicates as to what is inside it and what you need to look out for in the stores.

The cassis is covered in a layer of plastic and then sitting in-between two sheets of Styrofoam. The chassis is well protected, we did not stumble into any kind of scratches or damage whatsoever.

After unpacking, there it is. The all new HAF-X, one of the crown jewel of cases in 2010. Rugged black design, feels a little military. Proper fans everywhere, meshes, see-through side panel, and more options than you can imagine. We'll have a look at pretty much all of them of course.

Borrowed from the CM690-II design, the new Cooler Master X-Dock is the easiest way to join a SATA drive to the system without opening the chassis. Here we see the right side-panel with some indents, that's room created for cable routing. You have an immense amount of space to work with and in, with this HAF-X. But let's have a look at its toosh.
