Now please understand that this is not the retail packaging :) We received an evaluation/engineering sample of the product with standard white boxing. But, lets deal with the big thumping elephant in the room, why would you want to spend $120 on a keyboard? Is it really worth it? Yes, we think so. Mechanical keyboards really are in a class all their own. Are mechanical keyboards really that good? Yes, they are.

Once opened up we spot the CM Storm Trigger. It has a nice dark grey'ish design. Combined with the red lit key's that's going to look great.

The keyboard itself is built from rugged plastic with that rubber coated feel color to it. It has a matte textured feel under your fingers. The keyboard has a nice weight, sits incredible stable on the desktop and has a very sturdy build quality. An elephant can probably sit on it without it damaging. Great stuff. Included in the bundle is a braided USB cable and a hand rest, which is detachable by the way, let me show you that.

Basically the hand rest clicks into the front of the keyboard. I never can get used to these things, so forgive me ... I have detached it.

Another feature that the CM Storm trigger has is anti-ghosting support -- it will recognize individual key-presses even if you press up to 6  keys simultaneously.  Why is that important you ask ? Well, in a game you do it all at once don't ya ? This boils down to the standard 2KRO by the way.

Here we hooked up the keyboard to an USB port and so it slowly starts to lit up. With a 3-way configurable selection (though F key functionality) you can light up the W, A, S, D keys and front/back/left/right. The you have the choice on/off and fading all keys on/off.
