Final words and conclusion

Well, it should be no surprise that the Thermalright Cogage Arrow CPU cooler positions itself smack dab in the middle of the high-end coolers range, performance wise. It really is a beast literally and figuratively speaking. So please do make sure you have plenty of space inside your chassis for a cooler like this. The good thing is that if you stick to one fan, you can insert it in-between the two 'towers' to save some space. Not the cooler design has bee done in such a manner that you can place a fan at any of the surface areas. So if you have low-profile memory (you'd need the space) you can even opt to go and install three fans.

Performance wise adding more fans however learned that it did not move mountains in terms of cooling performance at all. in fact, I'd personally plant a good 140mm fan in the middle and just leave it like that. Performance wise the cooler is good, but .. yes yes. . I expected a little more as the product is just darn close to the Thermalright Venomous-X which is a smaller cooler. Either way, whatever floats your boat, you'll definitely like the Thermalright Cogage Arrow CPU cooler, it's in all ways grand, will offer great performance and is fairly easy to install.

Make sure the cooler fits, other than remember that all  Intel processor sockets are supported. What we can not grasp is as to why Thermalright / Cogage does not include an AMD mounting system whatsoever. I mean sure, it's optional after you pay for it, but their is a huge AMD Phenom II processor market out there waiting to smack coolers like tested today in theory very overclockable processors. And if the brackets are not in the box, the end-users will not buy it .. it's that simple. Such a missed opportunity and well .. a little shameful as well.

guru3d-recommended_150px.jpgThe Cogage Arrow comes at default with the mounting brackets for use on LGA1366, LGA1156 and LGA775, the cooler is available at a  MSRP of EUR 55 / USD 65. We can wholeheartedly recommend it if you are hunting down some really good cooling performance.
