So it's time to have a closer look at the retail product. First off, above is the packaging so you know what to look for in the stores. You'll receive the standard kit which includes a free game actually, Colin McRea Dirt 3, that's nice. Mind you that your PSU will need two 8-pin PCIe-PEG power connectors. Club3D does not supply converter cables for this.

Above, you can spot the Radeon HD 6870 X2 from Club3D. The cooler is custom, heatpipe based and overall effective yet noisy, but we'll show you that in our tests of course. Bundled are the basics like drivers, card, the full game coupon  (downloadable through steam) and CrossfireX connector.

The card is not at all reference, this is not an AMD/ATI reference design but finds its way on the market through TUL who designed it. The product comes with two DisplayPort 1.2 connectors, one HDMI 1.4a connector and two DVI connectors of which one is single and the other dual-link.

That's five connectors, four can be used in Eyefinity mode. Small tip - if you have a very high resolution monitor at 2560x1600 and connect your card to the single link connector, your resolution could be limited to ~1280x1024 or something close. Use the dual-link connector, and you'll have the full 2560x1600 resolution available. This of course only applies to the two DVI connectors.
