The wrist rest. You don't have to use it as you can clip it on or off, but admittedly it is quite comfortable to use it during gaming. The surface is made using somewhat dimpled rubber that helps ventilate and grip your wrist even when it is sweating.

The rest itself is made out of plastic, for both gaming and productivity it feels good. It depends on personal preference whether or not you'll use this rest. Obviously you can choose to not use the wrist-rest just as well. Hey it's like the cherry on top of the cake right ? ;)

All keys on the MX board 6.0 have back-light LEDs, a few are configurable (red/blue). The function key in the lower section of the keyboard allows volume and back-light controls. The upper right corner of the keyboard, where most keyboards have status LEDs, is instead filled with more keys: a Windows lock key and skip forward / play / skip back buttons.

MX Board 6.0 a few dual-colour LEDs for Caps Lock, Scroll Lock and Num Lock, plus Windows and the Win Lock key. So the can be lit blue instead of red when a particular function is active. Good to know is that these keys are not affected by the back-light dimming mode, so they will be rather bright at all times.
