Page 12 - Point of View

For a relatively new name in the industry Point of View was very present in a visual way. Point Of View, a Dutch based company for numerous countries that slowly is taking a steady place in the big Graphics Card arena, people will also know them under the name Bestcom, they've established the PoV brand name in the year 2000. They have sales teams in Taiwan, China, Hong Kong and France.

Nice design booth. Point of View in fact is a sub-company from a company called Bestcom here in the Netherlands, they focus a lot on OEM sales. PoV however is going very strong in the retail market. Last week we tested their GeForce FX 5500, review here.

Although I'm not convinced that PoV builds their own PCB's they do know exactly how the market works, differentiate yourself is a keyword here. Nice black PCB, good cooling and covered RAM. You are looking at a GeForce FX 5900XT equipped with overclockable Hynix memory by the way. When we look at the most bang for your bucks (price versus performance) then the GeForce FX 5900 XT is the best graphics card you can buy at this time and moment. IMO when I look at that image, that's the stuff that sells, nice design; a good strategy.

When we forget PoV for a minute and focus on the mother-company, Bestcom, we can see they are exploring a new market. Although not the best photo's I've shot I can tell you that Bestcom is going to try to open up the market for PC cases in your living room at an attractive price. So you can build your own media-box for movie/TV playback, buy their case and you can be certain that active parts are silent (PSU and Fans). All that and a nicely designed case of course.
