DirectX 11: graphics card performance WQHD & Ultra HD

On the previous page we dealt with the most popular gaming resolution, the most preferred one for gamers however is WQHD which is short for Wide Quad HD, a resolution of 2560x1440. Let's just call this the more more sexy resolution opposed to Full HD. Again, these are Ultra quality settings, the game rendering engine does not seem very demanding or at the least is finely tweaked and optimized.

Starting at a GeForce GTX 960 or an AMD Radeon 380 you can already game in 2560x1440 if you wanted too. Interesting to see is the massive lead for the GTX 980 Ti over the Fury X. But again, COD is a damn weird game to measure.

And above that massive resolution we call Ultra HD. Ultra HD gaming is commonly addressed as Ultra HD, UHD or 4K, this resolution refers to the ultra-high resolutions with approximately 4000 horizontal pixels. Ultra HD resolution also has four times the number of pixels of a typical 1920x1080 resolution.

We see that the Fury X now flexes muscle a bit better, not bad for a 4GB graphics card to be honest, but Nvidia has the stronger driver optimization alright.
