Final words and conclusion

Final words and conclusion

The BitFenix FLO is a well executed headset as far as I am concerned. Now you can't compare it with the high-end headsets as it quality is far away from there. But once you place the headset into perspective (and that is the 60 EUR price point) then admittedly for the money you can't complain at all. The audio quality and wearing comfort simply is well above average and actually classified as OK to fairly good.

Subjective

Now I also realize, there probably isn't anything more difficult to review than when it comes to audio, thus speakers and headsets. Audio is subjective so that's an entire big grey area that you need to describe loaded with subjective perceptions and facts from the reviewers side.

Comfort

The FLO kits are fairly lightweight and very comfortable to wear and the ear cups provide a proper fit for just about anyone. The cup could have been a bit deeper though, my ear shells are pushed inwards a bit which can get uncomfortable after a long time of usage.  The headset is fairly lightweight but does seems to be of solid build quality. The ear pads are made of micro fiber and feel soft and comfortable. The headset is made out of some sort of soft rubber, this will leave smudges and marks over time.

Audio Quality

The overall sound quality is of this 2.0 stereo headset I like to rate well above average to good, but you will probably need to fine-tune the headset a bit with the EQ (a little). That makes the FLO certainly a product at a nice level, just not audiophile quality. Overall I was not dissapointed at all, no Sir. Aesthetically these are also pleasing sets to look at with a wide variety of color options.

Concluding

As noted, the overall wear comfort is nice, the microphone offers good quality and clarity, and with a little EQ tweakage from your smartphone or soundcard the audio quality will be pretty good. Mind you, this is a stereo headset, do not expect luxurious Xear modes or virtualized surround, it will never get close to real perceptive 7.1 sound for that matter. Stereo, period. The BitFenix FLO 2.0 offers a fairly nice sounding headphone set. You will probably need to tweak audio a little with EQ settings, but once that is done the audio quality will be pretty good with plenty of volume go around with. The wearing comfort is really good, though the ear cups could have been a bit deeper to give your ears a little more space. Realistically these FLO headphones sit in under 60 EUR range. It is good to well above average in terms of audio quality and that is the sheer reality. As such we think the price is right for what BitFenix brings to the table.
