On this page we will start off with the mini-me cooler version. The cooler is packaged well, cushioned and bundled safely in the box.

Once unboxed you'll spot the cooling unit consisting of the heatsink assembly, fan and brackets + back plate that supports a very wide range of AMD and Intel processors.

A little thermal paste is pre-applied to the cooling block well. The Shadow Rock LP has been developed with a focus on a perfect ratio of power to noise level. It can cope with a TDP of up to 130 watts despite its compact dimensions of 134 x 122 x 75.4 millimetres (L x W x H).

Above, the cooler placed on its back, we can see the base plate. It uses six copper based heat pipes arranged in a U-shaped design with the fan located at the opposing side in the middle. The pure copper fins effectively disperse heat away from the CPU via composite heat pipes.

On top you will place the new Pure Wings 2 fan, a 120-millimetre PWM-version which has nine airflow-optimised fan blades and a durable rifle bearing. It produces a maximum noise level of no more than 25.5 decibels according to the manufacturer.
