The cooler is packaged well, cushioned and bundled safely in the traditional black/white/orange be quiet! design box. As you can see, bundled is a Silent Wings fan 135mm in the middle sitting in between the dual-towers, these are fairly low RPM, but above anything, really silent. At the front side, another 120mm Silent Wings fan has been mounted, so this fits a bit of a push-pull configuration.

Once unboxed you'll spot the cooling unit consisting of the heatsink assembly, fan, and brackets that supports socket TR4 for Threadripper (and Epyc). It's quite a beast to look at really as that is a big cooler. The dark beast weighs 1180gr with dimensions of 145.7 x 136 x 162.8mm (LxWxH).

We are going to mount the cooler onto the socket SP3/ TR4 with the help of two small metal strips and a strut. Included is some thermal paste and fan y splitter cable so you can connect the two fans towards on FAN header, spacers, and some screws.

Above, the cooler placed on its back, we can see the base plate. It uses seven copper based heat pipes arranged in a U-shaped design with the fan located at the opposing side in at the top. The fins effectively disperse heat away from the CPU via composite heat pipes towards the two radiator units. The fin stack itself is moved back slightly in order to bring the fan closer to the center of the cooler, and helping with RAM compatibility. The entire product as you can see is painted black, and that certainly brings in a great aesthetic feel and look.

That powder coating, however, is fragile, you can easily scratch that black coating on the alu fins. For example, securing the fans with the retention clips will quickly result in a bit of paint damage.  The top of the cooler has been reinforced with a top side plate. It also serves as access hatches towards the screws (we'll show you that later on).
