Product Installation

The cooler makes use of a linear horizontal mounting bracket, place it in the middle like shown above. Apply thermal paste to the processor (a drop in the middle of the CPU is enough), and carefully position the cooler.

Align the screw holes and secure it with two screws. It's a bit unusual but works really well. Mind you that the fan needs to come off for this process. Secure it tightly.

Once the cooler has been mounted, you can install the fan. As you can see, we (still) use the Z97 Sabertooth, as it is one of the most difficult motherboards to use with all the shielding stuff from ASUS. In the past, we have seen coolers fail to install, due to this shielding design. This cooler fits like a glove though.

With the cooler and fan in place, you can now plug in the fan cable connector towards the FAN header on your motherboard and you're good to go.

One last check, yes .. higher memory DIMMs will fit as well, as the heat pipes have been raised slightly. The hight of the cooler btw is 160mm, the cooler including fan weighs 960 grams.
