be quiet! Dark Rock 4 review - Product Showcase CPU Cooler

Included is everything you need, there are a few components you need to assemble, we'll take you through that on the next page though. I have to admit, that is looking just gorgeous in all black eh? The powder coated radiator fins however easily get pain damage, so you do need to be careful. Securing, for example, the metal fan retention clips will damage the coating a bit. Grab a big black marker, and it's fixed of course.

For a 69 euro costing cooler, it is still capable of dissipating 200W of heat. That is actually more than enough for most common usage with your processor. The Dark Rock 4 has rubber pads pre-applied, here you can place the fan on, preventing resonating noises and thus this has a sound dampening effect.

As mentioned, included is a 135mm silent wings fan, rated up-to 1400rpm this is a low RPM fan. The results remain pretty good, the acoustics, however, are very impressive, as you will learn.

The cooler base as well is coated a bit. Not a mirror finish, but close enough.  The six heat pipes will quickly move away heat towards the radiator fins where heat gets moved away from that processor of yours. Some thermal paste is included, but nothing more than a small drop (which in reality is sufficient).
