I have a cute little plot available below showing you the relevant voltage/watt/amp lines per each of the three models.

We test the 1000W model, and check that out, 2x40A and 2x32 Amps on the four 12V rails. If it was still a thing, then this PSU could take two graphics cards. Of course, OC GPU models require a bit more stamina.

All of the power supplies in this Series have the necessary protection functions, even in extreme conditions. Below is a list of the included protections:

  • OCP: Over Current Protection. This function will latch the power supply off if any given rail is overloaded beyond a safe level.
  • OVP: Over Voltage Protection. This function will latch the power supply off if voltages exceed specifications.
  • UVP: Under Voltage Protection. This function will latch the power supply off if voltages drop below specification.
  • SCP: Short Circuit Protection. This function will latch the power supply off in the event of a short.
  • OTP: Over Temperature Protection. In the event that temperatures exceed a specified value, the power supply will latch off.
  • OPP: Over Power Protection. If the total output power of the power supply exceeds a safe level, the power supply will latch off.

The Series 13 DP  power supplies have a modular sleeved cable set that allows you to use only the cables you need for your particular set of components. Below the cable structure, here again, I included a diagram that visualizes all three models, which likely can be quite handy in your purchasing choices. The cables all have good length.

When it comes to wiring, we feel that there are more than enough connectors for this PSU model, have a look at the supplied connectors, all with decent length by the way. The benefits of this dark design are a cleaner, neater look. The cables are also long enough to support full-tower cases.

And last but not least, the OC Key. You can activate one big 12 Volts rail if you prefer that, you can simply use the jumper to enable it and leave things as is at the big single 12V rail, or if you like a little more flexibility, you can use the included PCI Slot switch. Always switch when powered down!
