Specifications and features

be quiet! is known for making technologically-advanced, and absolutely the quietest PC equipment available. True to the motto “form follows function” the Dark Base 900 PRO Revision 2 PC case offers a symbiosis of noise prevention, cooling performance, usability and an extensive capacity for high-end hardware. Well, all that and terrific looks of course. The Dark Base 900 offers whisper quiet operation, that remains intact with the windowed version through the tempered glass panel, and good cooling performance. be quiet! has achieved the latter through intelligent air flow and three pre-installed Silent Wings 3 fans. In addition, the case is characterized by its optimal layout and easy hardware installation. Also, comprehensive dust protection is provided by numerous filters. The chassis has noise dampening on the panels, an integrated fan and LED controller. Let's summarize the primary features of this mid-sized enthusiast class tower chassis.

A flexible modular design:

  • Tray can slide up and down to fit all sizes of Mainboard (ITX – XL ATX)
  • Tray can be taken out and used as a bench table
  • Full system can be pre-installed, tested and dropped back into the body in one step
  • Tray can be mounted inverted
  • Side panel with the window can be installed on both sides as well
  • HDD/ODD are single cage and can be placed everywhere
  • Water-cooling can be mounted in all areas:
    • Front: 1x 120,140,‪240,280,360,420 mm
    • Rear: 1x 120/140 mm
    • Bottom: 1x 140/240 mm
    • Top: ‪120,140,180,240,280,360,420 mm (up to 65 mm high)

The updated flagship case Dark Base Pro 900 has been revised to emphasize its leading position in the modular and silent full-tower segment. Dark Base Pro 900 received excellent media reviews and customer feedback, but to stay ahead of the curve be quiet! has revised existing features, added new innovations and improved the overall user experience of this high-end PC case.

Keeping all the important features of Dark Base Pro 900

  • Fully modular and invertible to satisfy any need
  • Virtually inaudible Silent Wings 3 140mm PWM fans and noise-reducing airflow system
  • Highly compatible with most components on the market

Added some highly requested features

Cable management and look

  • Top and bottom side of the tempered glass are now painted like it is for Dark Base 700 (hiding the latches)
  • PSU shroud to cover the PSU, hides the cables and the lower drives inside the new double HDD cage. Also provides additional SSD and fan mounting on top of the shroud.
  • HDD slot covers support the super clean look inside the case by hiding cables and unused mounting holes

Technology updates

  • USB 2.0 connectors are replaced by a USB 3.1 Gen. 2 Type C and a quick charging options
  • LED strips are now at 12V for compatibility with other LED ecosystems and to make them expandable. They can be synchronized with a LED controller of a motherboard.

Fan controller and fans

  • The fan controller provides the Silence and Performance modes known from the Dark Base 700 to give even more options for individual needs. It can now control or hub up to 8 PWM fans
  • The preinstalled Silent Wings 3 fans spin up to 1600 rpm (up from 1000 rpm) to enable high-performance mode

To satisfy our customers who already bought the first version of Dark Base Pro 900, the PSU shroud and HDD slot covers will be available as retail accessories, so they can upgrade their case with these two features. Window side panel and HDD cages will also be available.
