A heat spreader does not always bring the temperature down. Rather than that, it moves the heat from the chips to the PCB, distributing it more evenly throughout the entire module, and eliminating potential hot-spots. Theoretically, this should allow better overclocking. Ballistix Sport LT memory is a low-profile kit (as it’s 32.5 mm high).
Thanks to that you probably won’t have any issues with air/liquid coolers.
