When we take a horizontal photo zoomed in on the cooling fan we can see copper strips that function as cooling and a way to flow out hot air.
Here you can see that even better. The Radeon 9800 XT produces a lot of heat.
Don't ask me why because it has to be a silly photo, but I was just curious. The R9800 XT is probably the heaviest graphics card to date. It's almost a pound in weight due to the cooling technique used. Not at all important though.
