To Eyefinity and beyond ...

We'll be showing a series of video's now demonstrating Eyefinity  with the test setup as described on the previous page.

Tom Clancy's HAWX

HAWX probably is the best title to begin with. The amount of detail is immense and the experience immersive. We test at 5760x1200 with 2xAA enabled. HAWX is very playable with this setup and well  just have a look as that what this article is all about. Everything is right, the aspect ratio, the overall experience. This was the best title for me personally. We test at DX10 with 2xAA. We average out at roughly 37 frames per second.

Mind you that if you watch the video's, make sure that the HD button is enabled.

Devil may Cry 4

Here we have the Devil may Cry 4 technology demo. The game will react the same way setup wise. As you can see, it's again one of these titles that work out really well. Although the genre does not perse 'invite' three screens it definitely is a fun to watch As you can see we average out at roughly roughly 45 FPS.

Crysis

We just had to try out Crysis (the very first one). Now as you know at 1600x1200 most graphics cards already puke on this title, we did get a fairly okay experience  (framerate wise) out of it. Our game setup is set to medium quality and the end result is a very interesting and playable experience. Crysis is very lenient for Eyefinity alright. And yeah, AA was disabled, of course. With medium quality settings (and object detail to high) with no AA we average out at roughly 30 FPS at 5760x1200 (3x1920 by 1200). Yet in very complex scenes the framerate dropped below 30 FPS to 24 FPS.

So either forfeit a little more on image quality, resolution or once it comes out .. get two Radeon HD 5870 X2's ;)

Seriously though, as you can see .. it is quite playable.
