The X99 SaberTooth 8 SATA ports (6 Gb/s) supporting RAID RST and SRT and SSD TRIM on RAID 0 configurations. SATA Express is supported with one connector. Located close to the ATX power connector there is M.2. PCI Express slot as well, but the shielding will need to come off for that.

The I/O back panel reveals 4 USB 3.0 ports. Two USB 3.1 ports (teal color) and four USB 2.0 connectors.  The integrated audio comes from Realtek ALC1150 combined with a nice software suite. The audio unit has special capacitors and also has an added audio headphone amplifier. We spot two 10/100/1000 fast Ethernet jack (Intel I128-V and one Realtek 8111GR). A much desired PS/2 combo port for either a keyboard or a mouse is lacking as well as Bluetooth and WIFI/WIDI.

TUF Detective  -
Did you notice that that vertical positioned USB connector ? On Android you can download an app and use it to display POST diagnostic codes. Just download the app and you're able to monitor key parameters, detect and diagnose errors and control your PC's power status with touchscreen ease. Your PC doesn't even need to be switched on for you to make use of the app!

Here you can see the TUF Fortifier backplate, this plate is designed to fight off bending and dust, it supposedly also decreases CPU temperatures by a notch,. It certainly does make the board extremely sturdy and rigid, we like that very much. Obviously the entire 'tactical shielding' both on the front and backside can be removed if preferred or needed.
