We begin with our usual pages that show the ins and outs of this graphics card with photos, all taken with an in-house photo-shoot of course. MSI does offer a really proper looking card here with a dark PCB and triple fan cooler.  This GeForce GTX 1660 Ti is powered by NVIDIA's more modest offering in Turing, lacking RT and Tensor cores. This is a TU116 graphics processor. These cards are fitted with 6 GB GDDR6 memory running at an effective data rate of 12 Gbps, which is a lower value from the 2060/2070/2080 cards. The MSRP aimed products will sell for roughly 279 USD/EUR (at least it should be in that range). The STRIX is expected to be much more expensive (at the time of writing I am awaiting price confirmation).

The card has been fitted with two HDMI ports (2.0b) and two DisplayPort connectors.  I wish ASUS would make up its mind, really people prefer triple DisplayPort. They stripped away the DVI and space-occupying virtual link connector for VR purposes. The GeForce RTX series has DisplayPort 1.4 connectors 1.4a Ready, enabling support for 8K displays at 60Hz.

  • Boost: 1,860 MHz (1890 MHz in OC mode, which requires ASUS Tweak software to run)
  • Memory 12.0 Gbps GDDR6 (effective data-rate)

Mind you, lacking is a virtual link and NVLINK connector, SLI is not supported.
