Final Words

Closing in at 300 EUR, one needs to wonder if the B760 series really can be seen as a mainstream solution. Fact is, this is a powerful motherboard. The ASUS ROG Strix B760-F Gaming WiFi motherboard is a solid and feature-packed option for gamers and power users. It boasts a robust power delivery system with a 16+1 power phase design and 60A MOSFET/VRMs, and it also comes with a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, three PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slots, seven 4-pin fan headers, and a decent Realtek ALC4080 codec. The addition of Wi-Fi 6E, which was missing on the B660 model, is also a nice touch.

Performance

We utilized a DDR5 7200 kit for this review, and that was spectacular; albeit you'll gain some performance, we don't think it's worth the money though— read more on that in this review. The performance then, this motherboard is built and refined for just that. That goes from processor and memory performance towards WIFI6E and Ethernet with even a 2.5 Gbps link. The board has a sophisticated power phase arrangement, pro overclockers will love this. Our take on PCIe 5.0 is this: at this time and stage, it's not needed for graphics cards, and while for soon-to-be-released SSDs it might be a nice gimmick, we doubt that other than sustained performance, things will be much different. For us, at this time it's not a selling point.

DDR5 Memory

If you decide to go for a completely new platform, the elephant in the room is the cost of ownership. While DDR5 memory will get cheaper next year, you'll likely pay a price premium right now. For intel, we recommend at least 5200 MHz, however, much like AMD 6000 MHz might be a nice sweet spot. Stability-wise, we had no issues, we took a random 6000 MHZ kit, and it worked beautifully.

The conclusion

The ASUS ROG Strix B760-F Gaming WiFi Motherboard, in conclusion, is a reliable and feature-rich choice for gamers and power users. It has a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, three PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slots, seven 4-pin fan headers, and a respectable Realtek ALC4080 codec, and it has a powerful power delivery system with a 16+1 power phase design and 60A MOSFET/VRMs. Wi-Fi 6E. One downside to consider is it's price, closing in at 300 EUR. Additionally, the question of whether the investment is justified when it comes to pairing this motherboard with a K or Non-K processor, as Z690 motherboards have become cheaper and offer exciting options for less money. Overall, the ASUS ROG Strix B760-F Gaming WiFi is a powerful and feature-packed option for users who want to build a high-performance gaming PC, and its user-friendly design, with the Q-Release Button and M.2 Q-Latch solution, makes it an excellent choice for any builder.
