The audio chip used is the Realtek ALC1220S and offers 7.1-channel High Definition audio, it has been enhanced with proper capacitors. It is tagged as the SupremeFX S1220 CODEC with ESS®SABRE9018Q2C High Definition DAC/AMP / Impedance sense for front and rear / 120dB SNR stereo playback output / 113dB SNR recording input.

DDR4 memory wise the sky is the limit:

  • 8 x DDR4 memory slots, supports up to 128GB
  • X-series processor support  4200(OC)/ 4133(OC)/ 4000(OC)/ 3866 (OC)/ 3733(OC)/ 3600(OC)/ 3466(OC)/ 3400(OC)/ 3333(OC)/ 3300(OC)/ 3200(OC)/ 3000(OC)/ 2800(OC)/ 2666/ 2400/ 2133 MHz
  • Quad channel memory architecture with a CPU that supports up to 4-channels DDR4
  • Dual channel memory architecture with a CPU that supports up to 2-channels DDR4
  • Supports Intel Extreme Memory Profile (XMP)

Just under the lower DIMM slots you can see the extra DIMM.2 slot for the M.2 SSD storage solution. Next to that, a good number of buttons and micro-switches are present including power/reset, OC retry, safe boot and PCIe on/off switches. Also, you will spot several addressable RGB headers supported throughout the board.

The back side reveals some LED strips at the front and back, as well as partial shielding. The shield again holds an RGB strip.

Keep in mind that once powered on, just above the rear IO bracket there is a small monochrome OLED screen present, this will display status codes during boot but also registers like CPU temperature. It has been position well, so once you install the board inside a chassis you look at it directly.
