Test Methodology

Testing and further calibration of the monitor was done with the X-Rite i1Studio. The monitor was connected to the ASUS TUF Gaming X3 Radeon RX 5600 XT EVO Graphics Accelerator (standard video driver settings) via a DisplayPort 1.2 cable and operated at 60 Hz screen refresh rates. All tests were performed under the Windows 10 Pro operating system. The monitor settings were reset to factory settings. The following utilities were included in the list of software for testing and calibration:

  • Argyll + dispcalGUI shell;
  • UFO Motion Tests.

The factory profile PA278QV.icm was also used, which can be downloaded from the individual product page.

Protective coating and crystalline effect

The matrix of the monitor is coated with a half-matt coating, which prevents glare.

The crystalline effect is weak, as the pixel density value is at a relatively low level, it will not be visible to most users.

Profile test results, maximum brightness and contrast stability

After the personal icm profile was downloaded and installed from the manufacturer's website and all monitor settings were reset to default, I tested each of the preset profiles.
