The AniMe Matrix display on the I/O shield has 222 individual LEDs, allowing you to show off your own graphics and animations with a level of customization never before seen. The ROG "Fearless Eye" is depicted by a series of angular cuts across the huge chipset heatsink on the motherboard. If you want your final product to seem as sleek as possible, the headers and connections on the right side of the board are hidden by a full-length shroud.

LiveDash is built into the ROG Maximus Z790 Extreme. It is a 2-inch OLED panel that shows useful information and lets you change the graphics. During the power-on, self-test (POST) phase, this display shows key statistics in simple language using traditional POST codes. During normal use, you can set the panel to show information about the CPU speed, device temperatures, fan speeds, or water-cooling. Adding an image or animation can also change the default GIF to something more personal.
