ASUS 880G motherboard reviews

Alright, as always let's get a little deeper into the hardware with a photo-shoot. We start off with packaging ... we always show it so you guys know what to look for in the store.

ASUS 880G motherboard review

After unpacking you'll notice a well stylized and stealthy designed motherboard. That's a good looking board with the all passively cooled heatsink. Two tone color, nice black PCB with blue style coloring scheme and the usual complementary products.

You'll spot one motherboard and a manual that explains every aspect of the board. Other than that you'll find a back I/O panel protector, missing is a Crossfire bridge connector while the packaging does show Crossfire compabibility, two black colored SATA cables, one colored IDE cable, no additional USB and eSATA port headers unfortunately and we spot a manual + driver CD.

The motherboard is definitely good looking, passive cooling lead to all important parts of the motherboard, and well, it is an attractive product to look at. Also spot the quality capacitors and MOSFETs.

From all angles that certainly is a good looking motherboard alright. Not just that, it's well thought through in even the most simple of things like easy to insert memory, proper PCIe lock hinges, connectors at the right places, few fan power headers though, only two.
