Here we can see the backside, the card measures 27cm in length. Overall, a clean dark looking PCB, lots of smaller components though. It's great to see the metal back cover, meshed. In the middle a NEC Proadlizer (Prompt, Broadband, Stabilizer) capacitor which offers ultra-high capacitance ratings.

The GeForce GTX 580 has a maximum power consumption of roughly 250 Watts, as such you'll need to power the card with two 8-pin PCIe PEG leads from your power supply. We recommend a 600W power supply to start with, with one card of course. For two cards 800W is the bare minimum.

Like any high-end GeForce graphics card, NVIDIA will allow you to opt for the multi-GPU road with SLI as an option. You can pair two or three cards in one PC and have them do a decent workout. Though due to the size of the card, 3-way SLI might become an issue with three slot coolers :)

Check out the SLI setup, yeah two is the maximum. The cooling is great though, once the ambient air has been used to cool the GPU, the hot air will be blown outside the PC through the exhaust as you can see above the monitor connectors. Always make sure you have proper ventilation inside the PC chassis especially with a setup like shown above.
