As always, we'll start off this review with our in-house photo-shoot. A few pages that show the ins and outs with photos, to get you a better idea to grasp what we are talking about in today's article. ASUS was here last Saturday and we quickly ripped the card out of their hands for some photos and testing. ASUS is back in the game with this STRIX model, and it really is quite feisty as well. ASUS used the original GU102 GPU and the rest was built from the ground up.

The beast, the flagship, the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti powered by the Turing TU102 graphics processor and GDDR6 memory managing an effective data-rate of 14 Gbps. You will spot a nice matte black product and PCB with 2x8 phases (ASUS mentioned sixteen, but these are eight doubled up)) for the GPU, two for memory and one for the VR link connector. with another two for the memory. The new revision DirectCU cooler is being used with dandy 'Wing-Blade Fans' style fans. Mind you that the card is tick (2.7 slots), long (31cm) and heavy (1.5 kg).

The new model has a triple-fan design. The card has two HDMI ports and two DisplayPort connectors as well as a new virtual link connector for VR purposes.

  • Boost: 1,650 MHz / Base: 1,350 MHz
  • Memory 14.0 Gbps GDDR6 (effective data-rate)
You can tweak these cards really well, we'll talk a little more about it later on in final article though. The AIB customized 2080 Ti cards have a power design of 260~275 Watts,  AIB partners applied complex phase designs as they overclock/tweak really well. So purely based on the tweaking design, expect some more variable allowances. We'll check into that with our power measurements. The GeForce RTX series has DisplayPort 1.4 connectors 1.4a Ready, enabling support for 8K displays at 60Hz. This card includes three DisplayPort connectors, one HDMI 2.0b connector, lacking and sorely missed is the dual-link DVI connector.

These cards will look just terrific in a dark themed PC, especially thanks to the Aura RGB LED lighting system, you can match the colors schema of your PC to this card.
