Product Showcase

We begin with our usual pages that show the ins and outs of this graphics card with photos, all taken with an in-house photo-shoot of course. ASUS offer it's traditional looking STRIX card here with a dark PCB and dual-slot cooler.

Okay the full name: ASUS Republic Of Gamers GeForce RTX 2060 STRIX Gaming O6G Edition (6GB) - I swear these names are getting just too long. The card is powered by NVIDIA's more modest offering in Turing, the A revision TU106 graphics processor. So it really is a modified version of the Turing TU106 GPU used in the GeForce RTX 2070, the GeForce RTX 2060 brings the GeForce RTX architecture, including DLSS and (Hybrid) raytracing, to the midrange GPU segment. These cards are fitted with 6 GB GDDR6 memory running at an effective data rate of 14 Gbps, which is the same value as the 2070/2080 cards.

The card has been fitted with two HDMI port and two DisplayPort connectors.  I wish ASUS would make up its mind, really people prefer triple DisplayPort. They stripped away the DVI and space-occupying virtual link connector for VR purposes. The GeForce RTX series has DisplayPort 1.4 connectors 1.4a Ready, enabling support for 8K displays at 60Hz.

  • Boost: 1,830 MHz / Base: 1,365 MHz
  • Memory 14.0 Gbps GDDR6 (effective data-rate)

Leaving out these display ports creates room for an exhaust vent. Mind you. lacking is a virtual link and NVLINK connector, SLI is not supported much like the RTX 2070. Currently, the only RTX cards that are SLI compatible are the GeForce RTX 2080 and 2080 Ti .
