The verdict

I must say that I'm really impressed with what Aspire managed to do with this case. It's a fun looking package and has pre-modded windows, is an easy to work on case even though it's small, it allows 2 HDs and two optical drives, has a removable mainboard tray and hey .. a pretty darn interesting 420 Watt PSU. Also notable is that the casing a spacious enough for large, lengthy and full height cards.

The downside for me personally has to be the noise the 120mm fan produces. Sure, it'll guarantee you good airflow but 50 DBa for just the casing with PSU and the 120mm fan activated is just too much. It's easily fixed though. The fan right now is connected to the 12 volts line, you could alter the connection and simply hook it up to feed from 5 volts after which the noise is gone. Also you can opt to use a fan controller yet since space is valuable I doubt that would be a great option. You could also replace it with a more silent fan of course. Airflow for a mATX system however is important and the opposite of all that noise is the fact that it'll keep your gaming rig's components each within relatively low temperatures.

The design of the casing is funky yet not too flashy. It's professional in a nice way. We see lighted fans, a mirror-finish power supply with the cables sleeved, and an LCD panel with temperature probes. Only a handful of other cases this compact have the ability to hold two 5.25" drives so most definitely the X-QPack does the job very well.

And now the best part of all this ? The X-QPack casing including the 420 Watt PSU is simply dirt cheap! You can pick it up for roughly 80 USD my friends, and again that's including the power supply unit. That in my humble opinion is a steal for this very cute casing. Therefore we can highly recommend the case for sure.
