DirectX 12: Explicit Multi-GPU performance

Have you ever seen a GTX 980 and a GTX 980 Ti working together let alone not using ye ol' SLI bridge? That's what we are trying to find out right there. After driver installation with the cards both installed we quickly ran the test again:

And sweet moses, that actually works (a bit) and feels like you are doing somthing your parents have forbidden? Again the perf benefit we see here is mild, but for the very first findings with the explicit multi-GPU performance mode enabled in DX12, it is kind of fun to observe and watch alright.
 

So let's try and up it one more notch. What about this one, a Radeon R9 Fury with a GeForce GTX 980 and a GeForce GTX 980 Ti.

Ehm, .... nope. As it turns out explicit Multi-GPU in Ashes currently only works with two cards. In this case the first two cards in the slots (both GeForce cards) kicked in and are teaming up, the Fury remained ice cold and did nothing.

Ah well, it was worth a try right ? :-)
