Arctic Liquid Freezer II 280 liquid cooler review - Product Showcase

Product showcase

The radiator on the LIQUID FREEZER is based on a 280 mm design that is 38 mm thick and has a lower fin density than what is typically seen in other all-in-one liquid coolers. This should allow for better airflow through the radiator and lower noise levels at similar RPM. Push/pull fan setups are possible with the Arctic LIQUID FREEZER.

The provided 140 mm fans run at a maximum of 1700 rpm and feature a maximum airflow of 72.8 CFM.
That’s the theory, but in reality, the range of useful RPMs is even wider:

It was hard to determine the actual RPM of the fans in Fan Xpert 4 due to the fact that both main fans, the VRM fan, and the pump are controlled via one fan cable/header. Additionally, all the cables are hidden inside the tubing sleeves. Isn’t that great?

The radiator’s dimensions are 317 x 138 x 38 mm. To simplify the design, the pump, reservoir, and radiator are of course set up as one unit. The radiator is minimalistic, but they’ve still put the manufacturer’s shiny logo on the side. The radiator’s tubing is approximately 450 mm long and has black braided sleeves with white accents.

The CPU block is made of plastic (maybe too much of it, considering the dimensions), and there’s the manufacturer’s logo on it. The water block has a copper base, with dimensions of 98 mm (L) x 78 mm (W) x 53 mm (H). The motor speed is 800-2000 rpm. Additionally, you’ll find the 40 mm VRM fan here, which has an rpm range pf 1000-3000.

The base of the block does not have a mirror finish.
