Arctic Liquid Freezer II A-RGB(240mm - ACFRE00093A)

It has been a while since we have tested an Arctic liquid cooling unit. Let's check out how well they do with the Arctic Liquid Freezer II 240 A-RGB, fitted with a 240mm radiator, silent cooling, and new aRGB fans. Arctic is back in the house, their Liquid Freezer II series recently received an update towards aRGB fans, and while we deem that not the be too important, we felt we needed to include a resultset based on the new model into our charts.

The LCS kit is priced only 79 EUR/USD, and that's just su[per affordable especially considering what you receive. . Silent acoustic performance and very decent cooling for an LCS is what they offer. This 240 radiator version with twp 120mm fans (aRGB), come factory fitted and cable managed towards the radiator and all that costs roughly 79 USD/EUR. I am still a little baffled at how much you receive for your money. If that isn't enough, Arctic offers a 6-year warranty as well. I'm no stopping, as cable clutter is non-existent as well, you get one aRGB cable and a fan connector to connect, and that's it. Yeah, a 79 USD, that's the same price as the non-RGB version released in 2020. Last but not least, the cooler has a small embedded fan at the cooling block, totally silent, but that actually functions as a VRM-fan at a size of 40mm and tweakable 1000-3000rpm.

The Liquid Freezer II 240  aRGB has integrated cable management within fully sleeved tubes for a clean look in your PC’s case. The radiator is slightly thicker than other solutions on the market.  With a pump and radiator, ship pressure tested, pre-filled, and sealed directly from the factory to provide maintenance-free operation for years, it all sounds good. This ease of use extends to its support of the latest Intel and AMD sockets, including the latest Intel CPU 1150/1151/1155/1156/1200, 2011-0/2011-1/2011-3/2066, AM4 socket, but not thread ripper. The series is equipped with a high-density water microchannel and copper finish block to offer efficient thermal conduct along with an Aluminum fin to maximize its cooling performance. Fan replacement is available with the standard built-in mounting holes.

New in the series is a notch of aRGB seated at the aluminum top of the pump unit. The lighting can be adjusted via a 5 V aRGB header on the motherboard to sync it all up. Alternatively, there is a slightly more expensive SKU that offers a small RGB controller. But let's head onward to the next page and startup the review.
