So then, here we have the packaging so you know what to look for in the stores. The PSU inside is packaged nicely and protected in a carton.

The PSU and cables all come in a cloth pouch. Delivered with the PSU are the simple basics like power cable manual and screws. As stated, this is a 100% modular model. Some people hate thaat, other love it, I fit in the last category as you can build incredibly clean looking PCs by using just the wires you need.

After unpacking, not a dent, scratch or smudge was on the unit. Check that nice dark finish. Obviously the PSU is ready for all upcoming CPU & GPU generations and offers a superb capacity on its four 12V rails. At the front and top side we spot a nice honeycomb air vent; it allows for optimal airflow running through the PSU, cooling down its components and keeping them nicely efficient. Also, obviously we spot the power connector and on/off switch. The housing is made out of 0.8mm SECC steel and has a dark black anti-scratch coating.

The PSU complies to EPS12V PSU design guides for compatibility & C6 state functions. Meaning powered off or in sleep mode it should consume less then one watt. There's plenty of Ampage to go around, impressive are the four 12V rails rated at 40 AMPs each.

Here an overview of all cables you receive. You can hook up to six PCIe Graphics connectors in a 6/8 configuration, but we'll have a closer look at all the cables and connectors on the next page.

The fan used is 135 mm and is darn silent really. An active thermal manager will monitor heat and load levels, depending on that is will try and figure out the optimal heat and noise management. But even under load, the PSU remains very silent.
