The anticipation of the next generation of graphics cards was tangible. The cards will be no match for the RTX 4090, however, turned out to be the runner-up instead of the flagship among the top graphics cards available.

The backside reveals a completely closed plate.  The company claims that it strikes the optimal compromise by achieving 15% faster clock speeds than the previous generation while reducing energy usage by 25%. AMD has separated the clock rates of the shaders and the front end in the design of the Navi 31 to maximise performance while minimising power consumption. The company claims that while high clock rates on the front end are essential for performance, shaders can operate slightly slower without affecting the overall performance. While the chip's front end operates at 2500MHz on the RX 7900 XTX, the shaders are limited to 2300MHz. 

These new models will be the first to offer DisplayPort 2.1 support, including a USB-C port and 2.0 support for both DisplayPort and HDMI. It will use 2x 8-pin connectors for power on the reference card, though this could be increased in custom designs.

The card weighs in at 1.5kg, and its dimensions will be 287 mm in length and 2.5 slots thick.

With a length just short of 29cm and a thickness of 2.5 slots. They are making it easier to upgrade it without much worry.

The card price is $999, which sounds okay if you consider prices of $1,199 for the 4080 and $1,599 for the 4090. In this way, AMD can keep prices down and remain competitive. The new cards probably will not be able to compete head-to-head with Nvidia's offering, but they will be able to hold their own.
