The 6800/6900 XT series will not (yet) replace the Navi lineup. It's a different product category as AMD did not have an enthusiast-class performing product that matched NVIDIA's performance in the enthusiast spectrum.

First off, the card might look identical, but the cooler for the 6800/6900 XT compared to the non-XT 6800 is quite a bit thicker. Below you can see that even better when stacked on top of each other.

The cards all support DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC and HDMI 2.1 VRR and FRL.

  • The reference 6800 cards have a game clock up-to 1815 MHz.
  • The reference 6800 XT cards have a game clock up-to 2015 MHz.
  • The reference 6900 XT cards have a game clock up-to 2015 MHz.
Given the right conditions and load, there is roughly 200 MHz more headroom per product on that boost frequency.

And for those that owner, yes, the card is supported mounting wise, as it sits on a PCIe riser for power consumption measurements.
