DX9: Hard Reset

Hard Reset is a PC-exclusive FPS from The Flying Wild Hog, a Polish developer that is made up from members of the team behind Painkiller (People Can Fly), and former developers from CD Projekt Red and City Interactive.

In development since April 2009, the game features a cyberpunk plot. It draws inspiration from William Gibson, Neal Stephenson, and Philip K. Dick (especially Blade Runner in story). In gameplay, Serious Sam is the main inspiration; explosive barrels and large hordes of enemies will be prominent within the game. There is no multiplayer.

  • Internal benchmark

Hard Reset was added into our benchmark suite as it has a handy to use benchmark mode that is very representative of the in-game graphics engine performance.

Mind you that we updated the GTX 580 results with the latest WHQL driver 285.62

Radeon HD 7970

Very few other results for now, we recently inserted this benchmark. What you'll notice with the R7970 is that in DX9 games the are fairly close to the GTX 580. However when raw GPU power is needed, that R7970 will take off much faster.
