Gaming: Prey
Prey tells the story of Tommy, a Cherokee garage mechanic stuck on a reservation going nowhere. Abducted along with his people to a menacing mother ship orbiting Earth, he sets out to save himself and his girlfriend and eventually his planet.
In Prey, players enter a living spaceship that enslaves alien races and devours humans for lunch. Prey turns the first-person-shooter genre upside-down with new gameplay features like wall-walking and gravity flipping, making for intense single- and multiplayer experiences. Prey is built on a heavily modified version of the Doom 3 engine and is developed by Human Head Studios under the direction of 3D Realms.

- 4x Anti Aliasing
- 16x anisotropic filtering
What you consistently need to do is look at the GeForce 8600 GTS (which has a slight default overclock as it is the OC edition from BFG) and compare it with the 3850 cards. That's it's main competitor.
What you are looking at, are the results at 4xAA (anti-aliasing) and 16xAF (anisotropic filtering) with all possible image IQ settings to high in-game. Look how close the OC performs to the GTX.
Battlefield 2 - EA
The award-winning Battlefield franchise invades the high tech frontlines of modern warfare in the new sequel, Battlefield 2. The game brings the intensity and excitement of Battlefield 1942 into the modern era with enhanced team play and the latest, most technologically advanced vehicles and weapons systems available to man.

I just love what this game can do in terms of gameplay and image quality. We had to use FRAPS to measure the performance and by use of the game command prompt remove a nasty framerate cap. The results do not lie. Small note: the game by itself does not support these high resolutions, but simply make a little .bat file and insert the following, save this .bat file in the BF3 game directory and startup at the resolution of your choice:
bf2 +menu 1 +szx 2560 +szy 1600 +fullscreen 1
Again, please focus on the 8600 GTS and compare it to the 3850 cards. The 3850 is double to three times faster in most benchmarks than that 8600 GTS.
The 8800 GT on the other side is annihilating the 3870 though.
