Enjoy the silence Coolermaster Stacker Silver with Alphacool preinstalled watercooling

Right mate ! The Coolermaster Stacker Silver with preinstalled water-cooling Ready2Go.

You already know that's it's cool, big, passive and okay... no-one will deny it... it's also expensive. Thing is Alphacool's Ready2Go passive cooled systems are already available at roughly 340 EUR, which is not at all bad considering that's a case + complete water-cooling kit pre-installed. I'm a guru  and obviously opted for the biggest and most expensive version *coughs.* Hey, don't blame me, it's the nature of the beast. Our rig as tested today would set you back 540 EUR.

Let's have a look at some of the features here:

  • The Ready2Go cases from Alphacool are made and designed for: easy installation, permanent use and also for any range of application.
  • Whether for Overclocking within higher temperatures or simply for silent operation systems our Ready2Go cases serve all purposes to ensure full customer satisfaction!
  • The Ready2Go Series is a basic system, for more/other optional components of your choice, you can use the custom textbox in your order, and your personalized Ready2Go case comes finished installed and prefilled together with the components of your choice!
  • Silent operation combined with excellent performance is the main feature of passively cooled systems. An additional water-cooled power pack from Alphacool (not included in delivery) gives an optimum of silent operation to your computer.
  • The cooling performance of a normal watercooling with radiator is high enough to ensure a permanent and reliable cooling of any updated CPU and equipment.

Over the next pages you'll find dozens of photos. If you are on a dialup connection, please bear in mind it can take a while to load up as we'll have 4 good resolution photos per page. This is a broadband site, please consider moving to cable or DSL if available in your region.

In the photo shoot we'll show you all the components after which we'll build a system and then take it for a test spin followed by our conclusion.

Hilbert likes za zilenze ...

It's 2006 and you've been reading Guru3D.com for a while now right ? Then you must know I initially was not a big fan of using water inside a PC. It was scary considering you have conductive fluid inside an electrical system but I've been converted and am a believer. All the primary systems in my office are equipped with a water-cooling solution, I kid you not. Why you ask? Oh, just the noise level and the extraordinary cooling effect it has on components.

On the previous page

we discussed the basics of cooling. Right now we'll slowly dive into a photo shoot and emerge again later with a performance overview followed by Guru3D's verdict on this product.

When you've had a peek at one of the photo's you'll notice that is one huge casing. The Coolermaster Stacker has been reviewed many times and is known by pretty much everybody so I won't go in-depth on the case itself.

If you look at the entire casing you'll notice a passive Radiators on the right, then a reservoir holding cooling liquid (distilled water with anti-algea and erosion fluid) with a pump inside it, tubing with flexi connects (you can move the connectors around in 360 degrees) and last but not least a copper waterblock that we'll mount onto the processor.

The set consists of the following components, which are completely installed for you:

  • 1x passive radiator
  • 1x Alphacool CPU cooler NexXxoS XP light Universal, incl. mountings for AMD XP, AMD 64 and Opteron, Intel 478 and Socket 775
  • 1x Alphacool Eheim Station 600 12V incl. reservoir tubing: 11/8mm transparent
  • Connections: screw connections
  • PowerPack
  • 1x thermal compound
  • 1x manual German/English
  • Coolermaster Stacker

Let's dive into the extensive photo-shoot.
