Alphacool EISBAER EXTREME BLACK EDITION
Powerful as a bear?

Today, we are reviewing an AIO cooler from Alphacool: the EISBAER EXTREME BLACK EDITION. It’s presumably the best cooler Alphacool has to offer in the AIO segment in the liquid coolers market. Alphacool is an experienced OEM specializing in water cooling components and accessories responsible for, among others, the be quiet! Silent Loop coolers. EISBAER EXTREME BLACK EDITION is a fully encased 280 mm all-in-one liquid CPU cooler, and it’s expandable, unlike most other AIOs, so you can upgrade it with other water-cooling components such as a GPU block. It's one of the biggest AIO liquid coolers we've ever seen (comparable with 360 mm versions of other brands).

The EISBAER EXTREME BLACK EDITION includes everything you need to start your loop with a 280mm radiator, 138ml integrated reservoir, a VPP755 D5 pump, and an Eisblock XPX CPU block. There is also a Core version available without the CPU cooler, hoses, and quick fasteners and also not prefilled. The product might not have any flashy RGB LEDs, but it comes with Silent Wings 3 140 mm fans (which you know from be quiet!) and quick disconnect fittings included. The EISBAER EXTREME BLACK EDITION uses a very popular All-in-One formula, with a radiator, pump, and fans (2 x140 mm in this case) that are coupled into a single loop.

The included fans are the PWM-controlled be quiet! Silent Wings 3 140 mm with max 1300 rpm and noise performance up to 31 dBA. The housing’s dimensions are 385.5 mm × 156 mm × 64 mm (housing), which is enormous for this size segment of the radiator. Speaking of which, it has copper fins, which should allow faster heat transfer. With an MSRP of €249.95/$283.49, it’s definitely not an affordable solution. The Core version (without the CPU block, hoses, and quick fasteners) is available for €184.95. The warranty period is 2 years. Let’s check out the manufacturer’s info, specs, and features on the next page.
