I took some extra photo's showing you the dynamics of installing a socket 775 based processor. It's completely different as your CPU does not have the pins anymore, no your mainboard CPU socket has them. To prevent damage during transport everything needs to be well covered as you can see from that plastic clip. Let's rip it off !

Aaah, there we go .. the pins in the nude! They are so friggin fragile, I seriously hope that Intel will design yet another socket solution for future processors. As you can see next (right) to the socket there are some capacitors. They are not really in the way of any traditional cooling method. Yet huge unconventional cooling solutions might be blocked by them.

Here we place the 3.6 GHz CPU into the 775 socket. BTW don't forget to apply some thermal paste on that processor people, very important.
