ADATA S599 100GB SSD review - SSD Performance SiSoft Sandra HDD

SiSoft Sandra HD test

Let's do a synthetic test with Sandra, just to see if we can match the results we've seen in HD Tach.

What SANDRA also does (important for an HDD) is to test at several positions of the HD. See, at the outer part of a platter the performance is slower. The drive index test is what I refer to. The higher the better. The fastest drive we ever laid our hands on was 249 MB/sec in this test, the SSD manages to squeeze 266 MB/sec out of the drive. Again a new record.

The WD Velociraptor is fast at 99 MB/sec and then the SSD shows performance up to 219 MB/sec speeds.

ADATA S511 series 60GB SSD review
ADATA added no less than four new SATA 3 (SATA 3 6Gs) SSDs in their S511 series lineup, in 60GB, 120GB, 240GB and even 480MB capacities, all SATA 3 of course. The SSD drives come with that already prominent SandForce SF-2281 controller to deliverĀ up to 550 MBps read and 500 MBps write speeds (when peaking). We take a look at the 60GB model.

ADATA S599 100GB SSD review
We test the ADATA S599 100GB SSD. ADATA release their S500 series of Solid State Disks which are armed with that all new SandForce SF1200 IC. Shocking performance you guys .. overwhelming even.
