Posted by: Brann Mitchell on: 09/29/2010 01:00 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]
The ASUS CineVibe Rumble Feedback USB Gaming Headset are a mid-price headset that are actually pretty good and well worth the money. You can buy better headphones for more money, but that costs, well, more money. And these certainly have a lot of bass, so if you\'re into a lot of thump, the ASUS CineVibe will satisfy. Auzentech has been developing an HDMI soundcard for quite a while and this new card is said to be loaded with features for any audio tasks. Today in the Guru3D audio lab, we have a brand spanking new Auzentech Home Theater HD 7.1. This ongoing one-upmanship between existing companies is what drives the soundcard market and ensures new products are higher quality and offers new and innovative features to the audio community. The HDMI standard is still considered new in the PC landscape, and while many GFX cards offer HDMI options for graphics the audio side of the standard has been ignored and is lacking. We are going to run this card through our extensive testing and measuring regimen to let our readers know exactly what you will be getting for your hard earned audio dollars. Read article

Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio PCIe

Posted by: Brann Mitchell on: 03/03/2008 02:00 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]
Bordering on false advertisement, Creative's latest X-Fi isn't an X-Fi at all, it's a new rev of the Audigy series using the X-Fi drivers and gliding on the PCI Express bus. The EAX gaming enhancements are gone, however, in favor of the more usable Crystallizer and CMSS3D functions. The X-Audio does provide a good value with decent performance, stability, and last but not least, is does sound good. Read article

The Everglide s-500 Professional Gaming Headphones are big and scary. The understated sealed-back design offers good sound isolation and snappy sound, good for immersing you in the game, but they might be slightly uncomfortable for those with big ears like me. You also get a clip on microphone and a carry case for traveling to LAN events. But for $99 you might think twice, and I wouldn\'t blame you. Read article
