Hyte Y40 chassis review 4

Posted by: Krzysztof Hukalowicz on: 01/04/2023 12:30 PM [ 4 comment(s) ]

This time, we’re checking out the Hyte Y40, a mainly aesthetic-oriented mid-sized ATX tower PC chassis. It’s not the first product from this American (precisely – California) company. They debuted with an ITX case called Revolt 3, which gained good opinions around the websites (and we got a chance to cover on October 22), and a chassis called Y60, which we checked in mid-2022.

Fractal Design North chassis review 5

Posted by: Krzysztof Hukalowicz on: 12/07/2022 04:38 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]

This time, we’re checking out a mid-sized ATX tower PC chassis – a Fractal Design NORTH. The look is inspired by a Scandinavian design, with bespoke details like brass (Charcoal), steel (Chalk), or faux leather tab for easy access to the top of the chassis. It introduces fusing design and airflow engineering. Natural materials like genuine walnut (Charcoal) or oak (Chalk) panels make this gaming case a stylish addition to the living space.

Deepcool CH510 chassis review 4

Posted by: Krzysztof Hukalowicz on: 11/17/2022 04:36 PM [ 4 comment(s) ]

This time, we’re checking out a (theoretically) high-cooling, performance-oriented mid-sized ATX tower PC chassis –a Deepcool CH510. It looks almost the same as the other Deepcools products; I mean the CG560 and Deepcool CK560, which were already reviewed on guru3d (in November 2021 and April 2022). The front panel looks slightly different (as it’s closed this time), but that’s not a significant change (still – not the best that could have been done). Let’s check if there are other things as well.

Hyte Revolt 3 chassis review

Posted by: Krzysztof Hukalowicz on: 10/04/2022 09:09 AM [ 1 comment(s) ]

Hyte is no new company (or rather a sub-brand of Californian iBUYPOWER) for the guru3d readers. We already had a chance to check the Y60 (an ATX chassis) in June ’22, although chronologically, it was the second model of this brand. Which one was first? The one you’re reading about is the Revolt 3, which earned the “Recommended” award. This one is smaller, as it’s an ITX format, equipped with an aluminum carrying handle (which enables carrying of up to 30 lbs/13.5 kg) and tool-free side panels, allowing build-in, modification, and travel.

Seasonic Arch Q503 chassis + Connect PSU review 4

Posted by: Krzysztof Hukalowicz on: 09/22/2022 01:30 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]

Seasonic company is known mainly for its power supplies, including the Focus (available in ATX and SFX factor), Prime (with the 80 Plus certificate up to Titanium), or Connect series. But that’s not all, as we already had a chance to check out their first chassis last year – Syncro Q704 with a 750W power supply. It has earned a “Recommended” award. It was an inverted ATX case, but we got something more traditional this time. It’s a Seasonic Arch Q503, which was presented in May ’22. This model should be cheaper; however, it was also designed more conventionally. It uses a two-chamber structure, with the mainboard tray sitting on the right side of the case.

Lian Li O11 Dynamic Evo chassis review 4

Posted by: Krzysztof Hukalowicz on: 09/02/2022 11:06 AM [ 3 comment(s) ]

This time, we’re checking out the Lian Li O11 DYNAMIC EVO, a successor of the O11 Dynamic chassis, which we reviewed four years ago. The Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO appears to have changed very little from the original. You can now install a 280mm radiator in the side location, and there are mounts for eleven (but nine are provided in the bundle) storage drives rather than six. It was showcased in February 2021 and June 2021 and was introduced to the market in December 2021. In the meantime, we also got to check the Mini version (and Air Mini has also been introduced, the XL is also worth mentioning). But getting back to the Dynamic Evo – it’s a (rather extensive) ATX mid-tower chassis with around 61 l of volume. The looks are definitely something familiar but a bit refined. Again, like in the predecessor – we won’t find fans here.

This time, we're checking out the Fractal Design Focus 2, a successor of the Focus G chassis (ATX compatible), which we reviewed back in 2017. A Mini version was also available, dedicated to the mATX motherboards. The Fractal Design Focus 2 appears to have changed quite a lot from the original.

Deepcool CK560 chassis review 4

Posted by: Krzysztof Hukalowicz on: 04/22/2022 06:26 PM [ 4 comment(s) ]

This time, we’re checking out the Deepcool CK560, an airflow-oriented mid-sized ATX tower PC chassis. I had an almost instant deja-vu when I saw the first materials about it. Why’s that? It looks almost exactly the same as the other Deepcool (previously also named GamerStorm) product, I mean the CG560, which I had in my hands for a review. Well, the front panel looks a bit different, but that’s not a significant change. Let’s check the other things as well.

Corsair 5000T RGB TG - PC chassis review 4

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 02/15/2022 07:10 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]

Corsair is back with a new kickass chassis; this time, we're testing the Corsair 5000T RGB. It's a unique chassis with plenty of room, concealment choices, and clearance for a large amount of liquid cooling. It's quite the looker, with iCUE COMMANDER CORE XT and aRGB light strips included.

Fractal Torrent Nano mITX chassis review 5

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 02/09/2022 03:59 PM [ 15 comment(s) ]

We review the Fractal Design Torrent Nanop in a white finish, a silent PC housing for small form factor motherboards. For this Mini-ITX ready chassis can you'll be surprised about storage, style, USB 3.x options. Next to that, it's rather an airflow-friendly, tiny, and nice-looking Mini-ITX chassis.

G.Skill Z5i (Mini ITX) chassis review 4

Posted by: Krzysztof Hukalowicz on: 12/21/2021 04:35 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]

This time, we're checking out the G.Skill Z5i, the first chassis from a company known the most from the RAM. Some can remember that there's an AIO (Enki) available, as well as the keyboards (like KM360), mice (and mousepad), headsets, or PSUs. The attempt is made in a not-so-popular segment, meaning the Mini-ITX (so that's one of the reasons for the mentioned limit). This choice is a brave one as it's not so easy to create a good product here. Yes, it's gaining the share, but the ATX is dominating (maybe we'll also see something from G.Skill?).

Deepcool CG560 chassis review 4

Posted by: Krzysztof Hukalowicz on: 11/30/2021 04:18 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]

This time, we’re checking out the Deepcool CG560, an airflow-oriented mid-sized ATX tower PC chassis.  It has been introduced to the market together with a CG540 model; the main difference is that it has a tempered glass front panel. But getting back to the CG560, what does it offer besides implementing a design using the vent that should allow better airflow?

Fractal Design Torrent Black RGB TG review 3

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 11/26/2021 01:50 PM [ 13 comment(s) ]

We're taking a look at the Fractal Design Torrent Black RGB TG Light Tint today, a tower PC chassis with a mesh front design that promotes airflow. Its design emphasizes flexibility and space and airflow efficiency in order to maximize component and cooling support in a small footprint while maintaining a strong sense of style. Oh, and it placed the power supply at the very top of the chassis, as well. This is the fixed HUB updated version.

Seasonic Syncro Q704 chassis + Connect PSU review 5

Posted by: Krzysztof Hukalowicz on: 11/18/2021 04:00 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]

Seasonic is known for its great power supplies, including the Focus (available both in ATX and factor), Prime (with the 80 Plus certificate up to Titanium), or Connect series. Speaking of the last one, they’ve gone further by introducing a chassis containing this piece of hardware – it’s a Seasonic SYNCRO Q704. But that’s not all, it really fits together, literally and figuratively.

This time, we’re checking out the Lian Li O11D Mini, a smaller version of the well-known O11D series. We reviewed the regular version over 2.5 years ago, and it earned our “Recommended” award. This time, it’s a smaller case, but still a very spacious one. It looks like an ITX/mATX chassis, but can house up to ATX-size motherboard

Be Quiet! Silent Base 802 review 5

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 11/17/2020 02:50 PM [ 10 comment(s) ]

We review the Be Quiet! Silent Base 802, the next iteration of the Silent Base again has quiet and silent in its name, so it better be just that. The ATX tower chassis has updated and subtle nice looks were made with quality and originality and have some nice new features. A lovely chassis design, fairly tool-free, good space to work in and it has very silent cooling.

This round we’re taking a look at the Deepcool CL500, a mid-tower PC chassis with a mesh front design that supports good airflow. In terms of the overall concept, it’s quite similar to the Macube310P, which we reviewed back in March, although Deepcool clearly indicated the changes and improvements over that model.
