Knights of the Old Republic: The Sith Lords

There are certain things in your childhood that will always leave an impression on your mind. Those things can never be destroyed, and will always leave their mark. For myself and countless (can you include this screen to the side others in my generation, one of these moments of childhood nostalgia begins with a simple but with text to the right? Thanks!) somewhat emphatic sentence, and ends with the ultimate triumph of good over evil. Read article

Chronicles of Riddick

Posted by: Shripad on: 02/01/2005 08:00 AM [ 0 comment(s) ]
The game starts with the Riddick taken to the prison. Riddick is supposed to be one of the most wanted criminal in the galaxy. Riddick is like an icon in the game. The most fearless, dashing and feared criminal in the whole galaxy. The storyline is not the same to that of the movie; in fact it's entirely different. It starts somewhere in the past in context to the two movies that we saw on the big screen. It's actually a prequel of the first movie Pitch Black which was released in 1999. Riddick is delivered to the butcher bay by the bounty hunter and is locked up in the Butcher Bay prison. Read article

Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines

Posted by: Mike Sowerby on: 01/22/2005 08:00 AM [ 0 comment(s) ]
It’s the dead of night, the streets are lit by moonlight, and the fluorescent glow of neon lights from nearby buildings. All that remain awake are beggars and prostitutes. A new order is stirring, awoken by the dark, hidden from mortals by their self-imposed ‘Masquerade’. This is the time of the Vampire, the Nosforatu, the ‘Undead’… this is the world of Bloodlines… Read article

Medal of Honor:Pacific Assault review

Posted by: Matt Weber on: 01/03/2005 01:49 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]
Yes, its that time where another installment of the successful series of Medal of Honor has arrived. The previous game in the series, Medal of Honor:Allied Assault took place during WWII, starting with the horrific, and quite fun, battle sequence of DDay. You're task in the previous game was to infiltrate the German forces and help bring an end to their efforts. Medal of Honor:Pacific Assault is also during WWII, however it concentrates on the opposite side of the globe, namely Japan on the outerlying islands. There has been many years of separation between the first Medal of Honor and this one, so there was plenty of time for improvements, graphical and otherwise. Read article

The moment where the entire graphics industry was waiting on is here, last week after a delay or 200 one of the biggest titles in the history of PC games was released by Valve, Half-Life 2. Gameplay that should be extraordinary, sound that'll make you drool and a first time graphics experience that'll make the choice between doing the 'thing' or playing this game a difficult one. Gordon Freeman is back! Read article

MotoGP 2 - THQ

Posted by: Aropredator on: 07/30/2003 06:00 AM [ 0 comment(s) ]
Motorbike racing game is very rare either for PC gamers let alone a good one. Beside THQ MotoGP series, others were EA Sport Superbike series, Microsoft Motocross Madness series Micropose GP500 and Delphinesoft MotoRacer Series. When THQ released the first MotoGP for X-Box and PC last year, it really hooked me. With superb graphic/sound and gameplay, the only thing it lack were a complete season track list. With this second release, this game is near perfect to let you enjoy being a real MotoGP rider in DornaSport MotoGP race. You’ll find everything from last year 2002 MotoGP season. That mean all the real team, bike manufacturer and track list was included. Read article

If we take Sid Meier's Civilization on one side and a real time strategy game like Age of Empires on the other side and then we successfully embed them into each other, that is what Rise of Nations is all about. Read article

Star Wars Galaxies

Posted by: Mike Nelson on: 06/26/2003 06:00 AM [ 0 comment(s) ]
A game review of Sony's Star Wars Galaxies. SWG takes place just after the time frame of a blown death star, and before the battle of Hoth in The Empire Strikes Back. The time setting is perfect for creation of an MMOG, as the world itself is in an epic struggle in a light Vs dark battle. Read article

Planetside

Posted by: Mike Nelson on: 06/21/2003 06:00 AM [ 0 comment(s) ]
Planetside is a futuristic shooter that places 3 opposing sides in one world that battle for supremacy day and night 365 days a year. Now right off the bat, the differences between this and other shooters comes to light very fast. This is the world's first MMOFPS. (Massively Multiplayer Online First Person Shooter) in where no longer are you held to 32 to 64 players per server on games such as Battlefield 1942, but rather face hundreds and hundreds of opponents via Air vehicles, Ground Vehicles, and infantry in a huge gaming world in a war that is always going on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. MAFIA review from G.O.D. Games

Posted by: Mike Nelson on: 01/09/2003 08:00 AM [ 0 comment(s) ]
Mafia starts off like a movie. The music is incredible. But while the voice acting fits the genre, it really could have used a little work on how to not be so monotone. Read article
