CoolerMaster Aquagate MAX review CPU liquid cooling

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 12/07/2008 03:00 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]
A test on the CoolerMaster Aquagate MAX. This system is designed to be used inside your computer case for a completely self-contained system. If you are looking for a liquid cooling system to use for your performance computer the Cooler Master Aquagate Max may be just what you need. Dual 1200mm radiator, excellent looking reservoir and 400 liter/h pump, nice thick tubing and a very glossy water-block. A very interesting fact is .. it's not very expensive. Read article

Freezer Xtreme Arctic Cooler CPU cooler review

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 11/20/2008 03:00 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]
The unit submitted is the Artic Cooling Freezer Xtreme, which can cool the latest AMD and Intel processors. Something changed on the design though, as they did something pretty radical. They shaped this four heatpipe based product in an "U" form and then placed the ventilator right smack down in the middle. It's but interesting none-the-less. The new Freezer Xtreme will feature an unique twin tower design and it will be able to achieve a stunning 160W of cooling capacity. Read article

Gelid Silent Spirit review CPU cooler

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 11/11/2008 03:00 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]
Recently Gelid silently introduced their thermal paste and silent design fan, a couple of weeks ago they however launched their Gelid Silent Spirit, as you can guess a heatpipe based cooling solution which we'll put to the test. Read article

Heatpipe CPU cooler roundup review

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 06/11/2008 02:00 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]
Today we review five heatpipe based coolers from Noctua, CoolerMaster Z600, Tuniq, OCZ Vendetta 2, Coolink. Over the past month or six several new heatpipe based coolers where introduced onto the market. And I already can disclose this .. not one single cooler was doing a below average result. So for this test I decided to go a little more extreme. We'll crank up the usual system requirements a notch by using a fairly high-end PC as we take a Core 2 Duo Q6600 Quad Core processor and then overclock it to 3600 MHz to see how well these coolers still do. OCZ Vendetta CPU cooler review

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 12/21/2007 03:00 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]
Now this review was delayed a little, yet a couple of weeks ago OCZ launched a heatpipe based cooler called the Vendetta. We have done a lot of heatpipe CPU cooling reviews already and quite frankly the market is a little saturated .. yet in this price-range, OCZ might have a little success in their hands ... Zalman Reserator XT Liquid Cooling review 4

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 10/22/2007 02:00 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]
In the past we have tested a good number of items from them already. Among them the really awesone Reserator water-cooling products. Recently they released a new model of that Reserator cooler namely the Reserator XT. he trick about this incredibly sexy product is that thanks to a low-noise fan we can now push more performance out of their water-cooling product. So here at Guru3D we figured .. hmm, why not test the Reserator XT with a high-end system. Read article

Coolmaster released an all new heatpipe based cooler. Now when you look at it, you'll say seen that, been there and done that. See, the difference here is this actually is a high performing cooler that will make your (for example) AMD or Core 2 Duo E6600 processor go bonkers. Read article

Noctua NH-U9 and NH-U12 heatpipe coolers

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 12/20/2006 03:00 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]
A new trend that started over the past two years is heatpipe based cooling. Several advantages directly come to mind as the principle is quite simple. You move heat towards another spot other than the source. That way you can get rid of that heat not directly away from that source, yet effectively can cool it down optimally on location B. This means less resources and effort is needed at the original point of heat. The less resources I'm talking about is a direct active form of heat dissipation e.g. loud fans. More cooling these days equals more noise, and don't we all hate it ? Read article

Zalman Reserator 2 review

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 09/21/2006 02:00 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]
Today we'll be looking at Zalman's Reserator version 2, a completely redesigned and improved passive water-cooling kit that again will stun and amaze. Not only is the kit really sexy looking, I guarantee you it's cooling is even better as well. We'll be water-cooling a CPU and VGA card passively, meaning no fans are being used. The rest is handled by an inaudible pump and mother nature. Read article

Corsair Nautilus 500 Watercooling review

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 07/26/2006 07:00 AM [ 0 comment(s) ]
Targeted at the mainstream consumer Corsair now offers a complete easy to install and most of all relatively cheap water-cooling kit that can draw a lot of wattage/heat from your processor (or optional GPU). The paramount feature is that this kit is "all" about the external cooling unit that you can place anywhere, a small external box that harbors the radiator, pump and water reservoir all in one. With a MSRP of $159 this kit just became extremely interesting for the mainstream users out there. Read article

Card Cooler XT (dual 120mm fan device)

Posted by: George Panayiotou on: 12/09/2005 09:00 AM [ 0 comment(s) ]
With computers getting faster and faster, the overheating problem is getting more and more common among computer users that don’t know how to use or simply can't afford “exotic” cooling and are still using the basic air cooling approach. Some companies are trying to give a solution to their cooling needs. Some by making performance CPU heat sinks and others by making devices to throw that hot air outside the case. Read article

Zalman Reserator 1 Plus 5

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 10/25/2005 02:00 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]

Zalman last year released their reserator 1, a passive cooled water-cooling kit. Recently they released the Reserator 1 Plus package .. pretty much the same stuff, yet with new designed water blocks to get more heat from that precious gear of ours. Passively cooled you ask? Yeah, no fans are involved. No fans people, that means no noise .. yay ! The Zalman Reserator 1 Plus is a fanless water cooling system.

The AquaBox (passive watercooling)

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 04/13/2005 07:00 AM [ 0 comment(s) ]
Aquapark my friends offer a kit called the AquaBox. This is a passively water cooling cooling kit with everything you need. Interesting ? of course it is. let's talk a little about cooling and then startup a big photo session on everything that we did with this kit as it isn't just about cooling, it's also about aesthetics, you'll get UV reactive peripherals, UV reactive water, and a blacklight to make it all light up like a Christmas tree. Asetek Waterchill Watercooling

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 02/28/2005 09:00 AM [ 0 comment(s) ]
These Pentium 4 CPUs these days are getting rather hot. Why not watercool it ? The kit we received from Asetek is pretty much their best kit. It's called the KT12AT-L30/220V/Dual Radiator Socket LGA755 kit, a CPU/VGA/Chipset kit. We opted the version with thick 1/2" tubing for optimal flow. Next to that the kit has the heavy Hydor L30-II included, a pump that can push 1200 liters of water per hour. Read article

Evercool WC-202 Water Cooling

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 02/02/2005 09:00 AM [ 0 comment(s) ]
As a lot of people hate to do heavy case modding to place that huge radiator into a PC case and so on. With that in mind the Taiwan based guys from Evercool released version 202 of a very innovative watercooling kit. The kit is a self-contained water-cooling setup that should offer efficient cooling with very low noise. Read article
