S3 has always been part of the 2D/3D market (remember the S3 Virge?). They still have a
saying in the bussiness. A while ago they announced the Savage 3D. They stunned us all a
bit with a new term. S3TC (Texture Compressing). It actually compresses textures onboard.
Still, the card is quite slow and will not be a biggie this year. Bigger things will
happen with the S4 i assume.
