Since we are at the topic of motherboards, they did have a lot of them on display so lets take a peek ..
The only product they had and which really impressed me was a dual
CPU motherboard it looked like it was made so very well, I asked the MSI Rep
if he had anything he wanted people to know about MSI and he had this to
say "Yes we are going to kick ASUS's butt this year" all I can say is I
hope their products perform better then they look. If you compare the Chaintech
video cards to the MSI cards you will see what I mean. Also, the MSI rep
did not seem to be rather interested in the idea of overclocking their products.
None of their motherboards have dual bios which is the sign of a quality
mother board. The rep said "It adds to much to the cost so we came up with
something better and cheaper its called Live Update 2" and here is what
that is all about "The ultimate combo of MSI exclusive Live BIOS, Live
Driver, Live VGA BIOS, Live VGA Driver, Live Utility and the brand new
Live Monitor Online update BIOS/Driver/Utility. Live Monitor auto-detects
and suggests the latest BIOS/Driver/Utilities information".
Matrox had a booth but they only had three LCD flat screen monitors set up with a Quake 3 looping demo running and no video cards to show. I was not impressed by the quality of the video so I did not even bother to take a picture. Maybe next time they will put a little more effort into showing off their products. The Reps had nothing of interest to say either. "O" yeah, NVIDIA was there and they showed off the Geforce 4 Ti 4600 video card for me. Of course they water-mouthed me with a demonstration of twin-view technology. This was impressive and mind bogling, check out what this baby can do.
I could not get enough of what this bad boy could do!
This was one of the coolest things I have ever seen ..
