NVIDIA GeForce3 Ti 200

Well, enough juicy tech talk .. Let's see what the Ti200 has to offer in terms of performance compared to other videocards. We took the most important cards from the GeForce2 and 3 product-range, the Radeon 7500 and Kyro-II and tested them all on an average 800 MHz system with Detonator 21.85 drivers as supplied by nVIDIA. We we also take a look at the performance with a 1200 MHz AMD Athlon Thunderbird system to see how it performs on a somewhat faster system. In the near future we will actually use another test-rig based on the new AMD Athlon XP 1800/900+ CPU so that we cover all consumer performance ranges.

Next up is a series of benchmarks. We did some tests which are made with, 3D Mark 2000, 3D Mark 2001 (of course!) Quake III Arena, Vulpine GLMark and a new GeForce3 oriented benchmark called AquaMark.  These benchmarks where made in 16 & 32 bit colors in resolutions from 640x480 up-to the godfather of all gaming resolutions, the 1600x1200 screenmode.

Test System:
Gigabyte 7ZX-R v2.2 with 256 MB CAS2 PC 166 OCZTech SDRAM. This system is powered up by an AMD Thunderbird/Athlon 800 MHz CPU.

This system is running DirectX 8.0a and detonator 21.85 drivers. The second rig is an ABit KT7-RAID with 512MB PC-166 CAS2 Memory and Athlon 1200 MHz cpu.
